The Flooring
The factory flooring in the fifth wheel was beyond help. The lanoliom was hidious and the carpet was sundamaged, worn, and stained.
Before I decided to come in with completely new flooring, I rippped up the old carpet and discovered the trailer was covered with wall to wall lanoleum. After the carpet was up and the 3000 staples that help it down were pulled, it didn't look half bad. I enjoyed the camper for about a year with the original lanoleum until I couldnt stand it any longer. The factory flooring had to go.
At first I wanted to put solid wood floors in, but I was concered that the slide
out, would damage them. After seeing stick down tiles grouted in a friends
bathroom, I was sold. I tore up the carpet and put the stick down tiles, right
on top of the old lanoleum, I also pulled the carpet out of the slide and did
the same. The result was impressive, and added some much needed color
contrast.
